Alessi has unveiled the newest addition to its (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition collection, a tree ornament in red blown glass and porcelain, designed by Marcel Wanders.
"I am privileged to be involved in such an impactful collaboration with (RED) and Alessi," Wanders commented. "There is no better example of being human than when we provide true relief for others. For this opportunity, we've designed iconic red bells made of blown glass, a small porcelain clapper and a silver porcelain bow.
"We design products that create meaning and uplift the human spirit, and these bells represent a call to unity. Larger versions of them hang in several of our interior projects to welcome people and offer a deep sense of belonging. We are grateful to be able to create this small connection to humanity's larger calling."
The Alessi (RED) collaboration began in June 2015 and launched with a variety of Alessi (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition products, including Anna G and Alessandro M Special Edition Corkscrews.
