The Smith DC

The Smith DC

A celebration of the sophisticated brand narrative established by The Smith restaurants, the just opened DC location pulls in elements that allude to DC's great landmarks. Designed by Anurag Nema of New York-based nemaworkshop with //3877 as Architect, the restaurant's concept is an ode to Union Station's architectural allure.

Incorporating a variety of sophisticated seating assortments, from banquettes to dark wood cafe tables and leather nailhead chairs into The Smith's three rooms, the nemaworkshop team established a restaurant space that captures the brand's aesthetic, as well as the historic appeal of downtown DC. The eatery's expands upon this theme with a private dining room featuring a dramatic hexagonal wood panel ceiling system and backlit bar crafted from natural wood. For a touch of old world glamour, the American brasserie also incorporates retro pendant drop light fixtures and chandeliers in its central room to complement the dramatic tile work that dons the walls.
