iF has unveiled the recipients of the 2017 iF Social Impact Prize. The competition received over 150 social projects from companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations and both public and private organizations. A team of 12 iF jurors from Taiwan, China, Republic of Korea and Germany decided which of the activities were most deserving of the total of EUR 50,000 support for their future promotion and development.
"Our priority is to support ideas that solve our social challenges," said iF Managing Director Ralph Wiegmann. "This prize, along with our active youth development programme, is our contribution to the common good. We are determined to shine a light on the diverse social activities and commitment of people and organizations, to honor what they do and provide them with financial support. For us it is important to demonstrate the role that design can play in solving urgent social issues."
