Rare Volume, in partnership with Gallagher & Associates, has designed a permanent interactive entry exhibit for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center that celebrates more than three centuries of New Orleans history. The exhibit is a video wall standing nearly 14 feet high, and stretching 28 feet wide.
The experience attracts visitors with full-canvas motion graphics, and detects their presence through overhead depth cameras. Approaching users are presented with a touchscreen interface that offers them an opportunity to explore 175 historical events and destinations through archival imagery, maps, and text.
