    Design Miami/ has announced Pedro Reyes and Carla Fernández as the recipients of the 2018 Design Miami/ Visionary Award. The annual award is given to creative talents across all fields that are engaging with design including designers, curators, architects, and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the field of design that offer a tangible and lasting impact on the world around us.

    WE DISSENT... Design of the Women's Movement in New York

    "WE DISSENT... Design of the Women's Movement in New York," on view at the Cooper Union from October 2, looks at more than 150 years of feminist artifacts and printed matter from a variety of feminist and radical artists and collectives such as the Heterodoxy Club, Redstockings, the Guerrilla Girls, and more. The exhibition features more than 200 artifacts by women artists rarely seen and shown in order to reconsider the contributions of women to social unity and justice.

    The Senses: Design Beyond Vision exhibition, on view at the Cooper Hewitt from April 13 through October 28, will feature inclusive, interactive installations created in collaboration with contemporary designers. The exhibition invites visitors to encounter design with all their senses through several interactive installations, created in collaboration with contemporary designers, from a furry wall with digital sensors that play music to a scent commission by Christopher Brosius inspired by winter.
